What is Worry Free Online Backup?
The Worry Free Online Backup Solution is a fully automated online offsite backup solution. These solutions allow you to backup important data and restore it from any PC with an internet connection.
How does our Online Backup Solution work?
Our client software that is installed on your computer compress’s and encrypts all your data. The software then sends the encrypted package to our backup servers which are then also backed up. Since all data is encrypted before it leaves your PC you can be rest assured in the knowledge that no one will be able to access and read your data other than you.
How can I be sure that no one will be able to access my data?
All backed up data is encrypted with a 128bit encryption key. It is then compress and sent to our backup servers. As the encryption key is special to your account only you can decrypt and view the original files, even Worry Free cannot view the files.
For the more conscious user Worry Free can restrict online access to your data to a certain list of IP address(es).
What is encryption?
Encryption is the process of transforming information using an algorithm to make it unreadable to anyone except those possessing special knowledge, usually referred to as a key.
Worry Free supports:
- TwoFish
- Triple DES
- Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)
- Electronic Cook Book (ECB)
- Cipher Block Chaining (CBC)
What happens if I lose my encryption key?
Unfortunately if you misplace your key we will not be able to recover it nor can we restore your data from our backup servers. Security is of utmost importance to us. Your encryption key is also your account password. You may change your encryption key to be different from your account password from the client software.
Which operating systems are supported?
Currently Worry Free only supports Window based operating systems including:
- Microsoft Windows 95/98
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Microsoft Windows ME
- Microsoft Windows 2003

What are the different options for Worry Free Online Backup?
Worry Free prides itself on having a reliable, fast performing service at a great price. Currently we offer two prices for our two different solutions. Firstly we have BMS (Backup Manager Solution) which is bundled with various database backup modules and is designed for backing up files and databases from client side computers/servers. OCS (One Click Backup) is a light version of BMS with major features retained with an easy to use interface, best suited for backing up desktop and laptop computers.
How much are the Worry Free Online Backup options?
Our options start from as little as $1 a month for OCB and $11 a month for BMS this includes 1GB (Gigabyte) of data and any additional data required is $1 per GB.
We have various specials happening all the time so please check our front page for any special deals.
How does prepaid Online Backup work?
Each month you will have a maximum amount of data that you can backup. This will be the amount of dollars you will have in your prepaid account (if you are not a prepaid account holder this does not apply). Once at the end of your billing month the rounded up amount of data you have used will be debited from your account. For example if you have $20 in you prepaid account you will be able to backup a total of 20GB but if you use a total of 2.70GB your account will be only debited $3 leaving $17. You will need to make sure that you have enough in your prepaid account at the end of each billing month. An email will be sent prior to the end of your month.
What is Gigabytemonth?
Gigabytemonth is our term for the usage of gigabytes in a single billing month.
How long will the backup of my data take?
Determining the time it will take to do your backup is can be effected by many factors including; the speed of your internet connection and the size of you backup. Your first backup may take many hours therefore most people will set this up to run over night or in the weekend. Every backup after the first initial backup will usually be a small amount thanks to ‘In File Delta Technology’. In File Delta Technology compares two versions of the same file, then Worry Free will backup only the changes to that file. This technology increases speed dramatically.
What if I have a file open and it gets backed up?
If a file is open and it gets backed up the last saved state of the file will be backed up. Therefore we recommended closing all programs that use the backup data before the backup set runs. This will ensure that the file contains all of the correct data. However if you are using BMS and backing up databases we do not recommended shutting these down.
How will I know if my data was backed up?
Yes, our client software utilises already existing protocol, such as HTTP and HTTPS. So if you can use the internet then our client software will work.
How will I know if my data was backed up?
Our Online Backup solution is fully automated therefore you select what you wish to backup and select a time e.g. 9pm every night. As long as your PC is on at this time then your data will be backed up. You will receive an email to let you know that the backup was successful. If for any reason the backup could not complete you will also receive an email stating why the backup could not complete. You can also view backup logs via the client software from the main screen.
